Are you a fan of David Lee Myers/Arcane Device? If you are not, then we cannot be friends anymore. He’s been plowing a particular furrow of processed feedback since the early 1890s… oops, sorry I meant 1980s… and hasn’t stopped creating wonderful work that’s worth spending plenty of time absorbing. Now, he was making tapes under his own name before he adopted th’ Arcane moniker but because he’s a forward-looking sort of guy, he probably won’t be making those formative noises available any time soon… but he has been digging into his voluminous archive a bit, if only for a short amount of time. “Cull” contains 32 (!!!) previously-unreleased tracks and is only available from Myers’ Bandcamp until February 2022. Grab it while you can, then check out his more recent music, which is stellar as ever.
